The Cast of ‘The Batman: Part 2’ Has Been Revealed

After months of rumors, speculation, and delays, the sequel to The Batman is finally taking shape. Matt Reeves, director of the 2022 film, shared GIFs on social media revealing the cast of the upcoming sequel. In addition to the expected returns, new names have been revealed.
Who will appear in the sequel?
Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as playboy and billionaire Bruce Wayne, who fights crime in Gotham City under the mask of a bat. Andy Serkis will return as his butler, Alfred Pennyworth. Jeffrey Wright will reprise his role as Commissioner Gordon, who places immense trust in the Batman and shares his crime-fighting ambitions.
Jayme Lawson and Gil Perez-Graham will return as Mayor Bella Reál and Officer Martinez. Colin Farrell will reprise his role as Oswald "Oz" Cobb, who, this time after the Penguin TV show, holds sway over Gotham's criminal underworld.
The cast of the second film will also expand with new actors. Sebastian Stan, previously known for his role as the Winter Soldier in Marvel films, has been officially confirmed as a new addition. He is rumored to play Harvey Dent, Gotham City's attorney general, who later became the villain Two-Face. Scarlett Johansson, known for her role as Natasha Romanoff in Marvel films, has also joined the cast. Rumors says that she will portray Gilda Dent, Harvey Dent's wife. Charles Dance, the actor who played Tywin Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones, is set to play Christopher Dent, Harvey Dent's abusive and alcoholic father.
Matt Reeves also revealed that Sebastian Koch and Brian Tyree Henry have joined the cast. Their roles remain under wraps for now.
The film will take place during winter, as revealed by Reeves' photos.
The film is set to release on October 1, 2027.
