2026 Emmys Nominations: 'Hacks', 'The Pitt' and 'Beef' Take the Podium

The Emmy nominations and the awards ceremony itself are undoubtedly the two biggest events in the world of television. Often referred to as the “Oscars of television,” the Emmys celebrate the very best the medium has to offer.

Throughout the year, we immerse ourselves in countless series, explore new worlds, meet unforgettable characters, discover remarkable performances, and form our own opinions on the productions we watch. By the time the nominations are announced and the winners are crowned, we all have our personal favorites to cheer for.

The Television Academy announced that a total of 555 television titles were submitted for Emmy consideration this year. Drama series make up the largest category with 110 submissions, followed by 71 comedy series, 31 limited series (or anthology series), and 34 television movies.

This year’s television lineup was packed with outstanding productions that undoubtedly earned critical recognition. From the fifth and final season of Hacks to Spider-Noir, Widow’s Bay, the second season of The Pitt, and Pluribus, audiences had no shortage of acclaimed shows to enjoy.

HBO and Netflix once again emerged as the biggest winners in terms of nominations. HBO led the field with 122 nominations overall, including an impressive 26 for the second season of The Pitt and 25 for the fifth season of Hacks. Netflix followed with 111 nominations, highlighted by 16 for Beef.

The announcement of the Emmy nominations always sparks excitement and anticipation among television fans. Now, it’s time to see which productions the Television Academy recognized as this year’s best.
